After letting my camera sit there collecting dust for months at a time during the pandemic, I finally booked my first couple’s photoshoot. Now, this wasn’t an engagement shoot per say, but it definitely felt like it. The love and adoration these two had in their eyes when they looked at each other was all I needed to make my vision come to life.

I had been itching to capture more black love in my lens. So this had been a long time coming. Of course, I wanted somewhere dreamy, but cost-effective so we chose the Venice Canals in Los Angeles. I used to frequent the canals pre-covid for leisure and am always in awe of the greenery that lines the homes of the canals. It’s such a peaceful pause between the city and the Venice Boardwalk. It definitely takes me back to my time I spent in Venice, Italy Summer 2017 …minus the overcrowded walkways!

Now, take a breath and get lost in this passionate love…

Guess what? ……..he proposed shortly after this! I’m so happy for them!

I remember sharing these photos sometime ago, when they were fresh on my social media. The traction it got online was inspiring. It inspired me to keep pushing in my passion; to keep pushing in my love for the arts. And that’s what I’ve been doing ever since.

Thank you Suzie & thank you Tunde for coming all the way from Nigeria and choosing little ‘ol me to capture your love for one another so that it may live on forever!
